The purpose of this organization shall be to aid in the advancement
of public schools; to foster good fellowship among the retired school teachers; to promote the interest and welfare of the
retired public school teachers throughout the State of Ohio.
We are a service organization that works for the improvement
of our schools, our communities, and our members. HCRTA awards two college scholarships annually, and we are available
as volunteers for our public and private schools. We sponsor charitable causes, such as a food drive and activities
for adult care homes. HCRTA participates in Ohio Retired Teacher Association, including regional meetings, contests, and reporting.
We work with STRS and the Ohio legislature in monitoring retirement issues and legislation.
