A Message from the President

Hope your Spring is Glorious!

Volunteerism

As you know, this is the year of Volunteerism for ORTA. ORTA wants us to keep track of our number of volunteer hours for a better reporting of those hours in November. So if each of could keep a list of our hours for each category (church, Samaritan Outreach, county fair, charitable organizations, hospital volunteerism, etc.) and turn in those hours in November, that would help ORTA. ORTA attaches a monetary value to those hours for their reports.

Samaritan outreach has lost its director and is in need of more volunteers. This is one area some of you may want to consider volunteering for.  At the May meeting we are to bring paper products – toilet paper, paper towels, hygiene products, Q-tips, diapers, etc. for Samaritan Outreach.

Local dues remain at $5.00.
Kathy would appreciate members paying luncheon cost and dues by check made out to Highland County Retired Teachers (HCRTA). Reservations for luncheons are now requested by mail. Please click below for Luncheon RSVP Form.

If you have not paid your 2012 dues, please do so soon.
